How to use this site
We wanted to find a way to share Miles beyond just posting photos, so we decided on this blog. Blogs are a great communication platform but may be a little confusing to people who haven’t used them much.
“Blog” is one of those online words that sounds cute but isn’t very self-evident. It’s just an abbreviation for “weblog” and is used to describe sites with formats like mlog. That is, sites with some kind of topical focus, presented in chronological, journal-style entries.
One of the greatest features of the blog is the ability for readers to comment on the posts. Comments are a great discussion tool. A reader can let us know what s/he thinks about a certain post, and in turn, other readers have the option to reply to our original post and/or the other readers’ comments.
We encourage you to comment–we will be saving this for Miles. The last line of each entry has a comment link that reads either “comment!” if there are none, or “(number of) comments.” If you see a post that makes you laugh or feel snuggly, click the link and comment, comment, comment!
To keep out creeps, we require readers to register before they can comment. This is a very simple, one-time process. Just fill in the form, check your email, click the link in the email from mlog, and you’re all set.
Thanks for participating!
Trouble seeing videos?
- Update your Flash player by clicking the “download now” button here.
- Choose the “save” option from the little popup window. (If you are using Firefox, the download will automatically be saved to your desktop; if you are using Internet Explorer, it will ask you where to save the download–save it to your desktop.)
- When the download is complete, close your browser and find the icon labeled “install_flash_player.exe” Double-click on it and and the latest Flash player will be installed. (If the installer asks you which browsers to install Flash for, check all the options.)
