Those who know Miles know that he is either ON or OFF. Here’s a rare moment: Miles was sitting on his bed reading to himself.
He is really starting to get in to pretend play lately. The other night he gathered up all the pillows in the living room and told us that he was making sandwiches. When I reached for mine, he told me mine was in the toaster, it was too hot and it needed to cool down first.
Often in the morning, we have to “hurry up” because the “bus is coming!”
The other day as I was pulling out of the driveway to go to work, he asked me: “Mommy, you going downtown?” We don’t know where he hears this stuff.
On the way to the park this morning, he told me “Mommy you cheeky cheeky mommy!” That’s from one of his Thomas books.
Also, he has taught himself how to do somersaults perfectly and can do like a half-cartwheel. He’s the most agile kid in his gymnastics class. He was able to walk backward on the 3 foot high balance beam (while holding Ron’s hand). The other day at the park, he actually DRIBBLED a soccer ball and was able to keep it away from two almost-4 year old boys. I think we have an athlete on our hands.
His teachers at school tell me he dives head first (literally) in to the sandbox when they take the kids outside, but that what he likes to do most when he is indoors is work in the arts and crafts center. He’s so cool.
